Pride in Port - Saturday September 20 - Fun for the whole Family!

Pride in Port kicks off on Main Street at 11:30 am this Saturday with the annual Parade. This year’s grand marshal, The Cow Neck Historical Society, will join bands, schools, and other entertainment as they march to Schreiber High School starting on Main Street, near the train station. Spectators are encouraged to line the whole parade route along Main Street and Port Washington Boulevard to show their support for Port!

Pride in Port’s Family Fun Day, a celebration with entertainment for kids of all ages, will take place on Campus Drive beginning at approximately 12:15 pm, when the first marchers from the Pride in Port Parade arrive at the field. The free carnival amusements will include inflatables and other great activities until 3:30pm. The Schreiber Student Council and other Schreiber student clubs will be selling snacks,

A free luncheon, with entertainment and door prizes, for Port’s valued Senior Citizens, takes place at the Schreiber cafeteria starting after the Parade at approximately 12:45pm. For information about the luncheon, and transportation arrangements, contact one of Port’s Senior Centers.

Hall of Fame inductions will take place during the halftime of the Schreiber High School Football game versus Hicksville. The game starts at 2:00pm on Whitney (Turf) Field, Campus Drive.

Pride in Port concludes with the annual dinner dance at the Polish American Cultural Association Hall, 5 Pulaski Place. This year’s community honoree at the Pride in Port Dinner is Debbie Greco Cohen. Pride in Port’s festive evening includes live music by Powerglide, dinner featuring a “Taste of Port Washington” with delicious offerings from local restaurants, along with raffles and prizes.
