Recycle Your Pollutants, Pharmaceuticals, Clothing at S.T.O.P. Event
The Town of North Hempstead will positively benefit children and the environment through this event.
Residents are invited to empty out their houses of unwanted pollutants, clothing items, personal documents and more and bring these items to the upcoming S.T.O.P. (Stop Throwing Out Pollutants) event in September.
The event, hosted by the Town of North Hempstead and Supervisor Judi Bosworth, will be able to positively benefit children and the environment.
In the past seven years, S.T.O.P has diverted over 7 tons of unwanted drugs from landfills and protected our drinking water through this event and has prevented dangerous pharmaceuticals from getting into the wrong hands.
