Red Stocking Revue 2019 Celebrates 50th Anniversary of Woodstock
This wonderful community production of volunteers is one of the most anticipated events in Port Washington!
Singers, dancers, actors, stage crew, stage ad writers and many others work tirelessly to present an always entertaining, always unique, funny show that raises tens of thousands of dollars each year for CancerCare.
Every year the “Red Stocking Revue” signs go up around town, yet some still don’t know what to expect. Is it a dance recital? Is it a play, a talent show? Well, it is none of those, yet all of those. It is truly a unique and fun experience and one you will not want to miss. This year’s theme, “RED-Stock” will feature musical numbers and skits that parody popular songs from the Woodstock Generation and the late 1960s. “We are having so much fun rehearsing this year’s show,” Director Sue Bishop-Copeland said. “This show will make you laugh out loud and have you singing along with every song.”
Performances will take place April 11-13 at 8:00 pm and April 14 at 2:00 pm in the Schreiber High School auditorium, Campus Drive, Port Washington. General admission tickets are $25, Seniors are $20 and children under 12 are $15 (for all shows). Advance tickets may be purchased online at cancercarepw.org. Tickets are also available at the Schreiber box office prior to each performance. If you can’t make the show but would like to make a donation and have your tickets donated, you can do so online. We share these tickets with our local Senior Citizens who like to see our show but cannot afford tickets.

This year’s show will again be underwritten by The Peter & Jeri Dejana Family Foundation. This generous donation will help offset printing of tickets and journals, advertising costs and production expenses. This enables Red Stocking Revue organizers to make a much greater donation to CancerCare.
CancerCare is a national organization that provides financial assistance, counseling, support groups and much more for people with cancer, their caregivers, loved ones and the bereaved. Visit cancercarepw.org to learn more or to contact us for help.
