“The Return of the Violin” chronicles the odyssey of a 301-year-old Stradivarius, now played by Joshua Bell. The story is told through the eyes of holocaust survivor Sigmund Rolat who is responsible for the film. The movie reveals the violin’s relationship to Polish violinist Bronislaw Huberman, a legendary humanitarian who saved Europe’s premiere Jewish musicians by forming the Palestine Orchestra. Following the film, Joshua Bell and Sigmund Rolat discuss this remarkable instrument’s journey.
