The teen was arrested for reckless endangerment on Wednesday afternoon, police say.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday for throwing rocks at incoming vehicles on the Long Island Expressway, police say.
According to authorities, the boy and two other 14-year-old juveniles, all from Roslyn heights, were found to be on a train trestle, which spans over the LIE between Exits 37 and 38, at around 1:30 p.m. While on the trestle, police say one of the boys threw rocks at approaching eastbound vehicles, causing windshield damage to at least two different cars.
An investigation by Highway Patrol officers led to the location of the teens and one of the boys was placed into custody. No injuries were reported as a result of these incidents.
