Safe Center LI To Host Domestic Violence Awareness Presentations
The presentations will discuss ways to identify abuse and show statistics on COVID-19 leading to an increase in reported abuse and violence.

North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board in partnership with the Safe Center LI will be hosting presentations on child abuse and domestic violence awareness with a focus on their rise due to COVID-19.

The presentations will discuss ways to identify abuse, and will show statistics indicating how COVID-19 has led to an increase in reported cases of child abuse and domestic violence. In addition, the speakers will explain the resources available to help those who may be impacted by child abuse and domestic violence.
The workshops are FREE and will be hosted over the video conferencing platform Zoom. Those interested in attending are encouraged to RSVP in advance.
