Schreiber Students Earn Prestigious Art Honors
The students now join the ranks of former award recipients like Andy Warhol and Truman Capote.

Two Paul D. Schreiber High School students were recent recipients of prestigious art honors that have been previously awarded to artists such as Andy Warhol and Truman Capote.
Juyoung Park and Hanna Suh were recently named national winners in the 2015 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards, which is the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious program for creative students in grades seven through 12.

Famous former 2015 Scholastic Art and Writing Award recipients include Stephen King, Lena Dunham, Andy Warhol and Truman Capote.
Park won a silver medal for her mixed media piece, while Suh won two silver medals, one for a sculpture and another for her drawing.

Their artwork are among 1,900 works of art honored out of the 300,000 pieces that were submitted.
“I congratulate these students on this prestigious recognition,” said Director of Creative Arts Kevin Scully in a statement. “These are impressive accomplishments, ones that are proudly recognized in our district and are certainly well-deserved.”
