ROSLYN, NY — Lasers are being pointed at airplanes and federal authorities are asking for the public's help finding the culprit, who they believe is in the Roslyn area.

FBI agents in New York on Thursday said they're looking for the person or persons who have been firing blue lasers at planes landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport. The laser appears to come from Roslyn, the FBI said. Pilots have said the lasers are hurting their eyes.

The FBI said there's been an uptick in laser reports at New York City-area airports recently.
