Student T-Shirt Designers Honored by Town

Sixteen students from six North Hempstead school districts were recently recognized for their entries in a Town-sponsored Earth Day T-shirt design contest.

The 16 winners were among 150 students, from grades 4-12, who entered the contest. This was the 10th year that the Town has conducted the contest to mark Earth Day. This year’s contest asked the students to use the slogan “Slow the Flow,” to raise awareness of water conservation.

The grand prize winner was Jennifer Kent, a Munsey Park Elementary School sixth grader. Fifteen students were honored as honorable mentions.
