Summer Gas Prices Expected to Stay Low, AAA Says
Now that gas prices are so low in New York, here are the cheapest places to get gas in Port Washington.

Summer gas prices have fallen and are expected to stay low for the remainder of the summer, AAA said Monday.
According to AAA, the national average price for regular unleaded gasoline is at $2.21 per gallon, which is the lowest it has been since April and the lowest price at this time of the year since 2004.
While New York is still among the areas with the highest average gas prices ($2.36 per gallon) across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, the state’s prices are still substantially cheaper than a year ago, according to AAA.

New York gas prices are ranked the second most expensive in the region and No. 9 most expensive nationally.
Washington, D.C., has the highest average gas price per gallon in the region at $2.42 while Hawaii has the highest price nationally at $2.80 per gallon. If you ever make your way to South Carolina, the average gas price per gallon is the lowest in the nation at $1.85.
