A 'Thank You' to Port Washington First Responders

Port Washington Police Commissioner Angela Lawlor Mullins thanked first responders for helping us get through this blizzard.

After mother nature dumped mounds of snow on Port Washington and the rest of Long Island this weekend, first responders worked numerous hours to facilitate the Town’s snow removal efforts.

Following one of the largest snowstorms to hit the area in just 24 hours, the Town had a lot of work to do.

Port Washington Police Commissioner Angela Lawlor Mullins thanked all our first responders for everything they did for the Town during the blizzard. Read her statement below:

Thank you to all our first responders, Port Washington Police District, Port Washington Fire Department, EMT, Sergio Tardone, and our dispatchers for everything they did, working non-stop around the clock. Also, thank you to all of our doctors and nurses!

A thank you to the Public Works Department and plow crews for all the work you have done, but will also being doing over the next several days. They worked during the snow and throughout the night, to make our roads accessible. Please be safe out there, and keep your cars off the street, so they can work to clear the roads more efficiently.
