Thursday Episode of CBS's 'Elementary' Features Port Washington Scene
At least one scene shot in St. Stephen's Church.
Viewers watching CBS’s “Elementary” Thursday and who know Port Washington well may recognize at least one location when watching the show this evening.
That’s because Thursday’s episode, “Dead Man’s Switch,” has a scene filmed in St. Stephen’s Church Parish Hall.
Asked why St. Stephen’s was chosen, Rev Stuart Huntley said, “They had a scout looking for a suitable hall to look like an AA meeting.”
Evidently, St. Stephen's Parish Hall fit the bill.
“The main character Sherlock Holmes – Jonny Lee Miller – was going in to an AA meeting for an annual review – but decides not to stay,” Rev Huntley added. “They filmed in the back of our parish hall.”
The day was a memorable one for the parish. “They managed to park four massive 40 foot trucks in the parking lot plus all the crew vehicles and had there lunch downstairs in other hall,” Rev Huntley said.
The show’s crew was also spotted at the Town Dock on the day of filming.
