Tom Suozzi to Hold Town Hall Meeting in Port Washington
Suozzi looks to hear from Port Washington residents as he campaigns for the open seat in the 3rd Congressional District.

Former Glen Cove Mayor Tom Suozzi looks to hear from Port Washington residents at a Town Hall event Tuesday as he campaigns for an open seat in the 3rd Congressional District.
Neighbors from Sands Point, Manorhaven, Port Washington, Flower Hill, Munsey Park and Manhasset are invited to attend the meeting to discuss issues of importance in the 3rd Congressional District.

The meeting kicks off at 7:30 p.m. at Veterans of Foreign War, located at 29 Mohegan Ave.
Suozzi, who served as Glen Cove Mayor from 1994-2001 and as Nassau County Executive from 2002-2009, created the committee “Suozzi 2016” in January to possibly seek out a House seat.

Suozzi says he will be bring responsible reform and a track record of getting things done to Congress. Suozzi filed papers with the Federal Election Commission in January to potentially take over the open spot in New York’s third Congressional District after Rep. Steve Israel announced that he will not be running for re-election.
Suozzi says that once in Congress, he will find solutions for the most serious problems facing middle class families, seniors and veterans.
The 3rd Congressional District covers northern portions of Queens, Nassau and Suffolk counties. A primary for the Democratic nomination will be held Tuesday, June 28.
Suozzi is a CPA and an attorney and is currently of counsel at Harris Beach law firm. He lives in Glen Cove with his wife and three children.
