Village Honors Local Business Tuesday

Village of Port North proclaims June 28 as Shake-N-Go day.

The Village of Port Washington North Board of Trustees honored the owners of Shake-N-Go Tuesday for their expanded services and demonstrating a strong commitment to the to the greater Port Washington community.

The global beauty products company, owned by the Kyhm family, moved to Harbor Road in the Village of Port Washington North in 2004.

The company recently underwent a major expansion of its facility, creating a vibrant and green corporate complex.

"Shake-N-Go is a prominent and environment-friendly employer in the Village, providing jobs for a workforce of 320 people, about 40 percent of whom carpool or share van service to commute," according to a proclamation presented at Village Hall.

Local officials proclaimed June 28 as Shake-N-Go Day in the Village of Port Washington North.
