A video about Port Rowing just won an award and, no, it‘s not for one of their many athletic feats.
The video on Friends of Port Rowing was recently honored by the Telly awards for its excellence in television production for the video “Port Rowing: One Stroke, One Boat, One Goal.”
The video, which was created by MeyerMix Productions of Port Washington, tells the story of the birth of the Port Rowing program through interviews with founders, coaches, parents and rowers.

The video aimed to bring out the passion of the Port Rowing program and the love the members have for the sport. “Port Rowing: One Stroke, One Boat, One Goal” puts the spotlight on an autistic boy, who is member of Port Rowing. The video shows how his presence in the group has been rewarding for everyone involved.
The video was chosen out of 12,000 entries from all 50 states and several countries to be honored with a Telly Award, which honors local, regional and cable TV commercials, programs, film productions and more.

This year’s Telly Awards has been one of the most competitive years in history, according to a press release.
Sandra and John Meyer of MeyerMix Productions produced, shot and edited the video.
