Weekend Agenda: 'Grease;' Opera; Beach Boys Sounds

PORT WASHINGTON
'Grease' at The Landmark
Harbor Musical Theater Company, the musical theater division within Port Washington Play Troupe, presents Grease at The Landmark on Main Street's Jeanne Rimsky Theater Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at 8 p.m. The show features a twist: adult actors, ages 30 and over, will play all the parts as the characters relive their youth at a 25th high school reunion. Tickets $20. Direction by Brian E. Opera in a Castle: One of Verdi's masterpieces, "La Traviata"comes to the Castle Gould at Sands Point Preserve Saturday evening, with doors opening at 7:30. The "Jewel Box" setting of the opera is an intimate, up-close way to experience the thrill of live opera. Cost: $75, includes pre- and post-opera reception with food and drink.

FARMINGDALE (and then to NORTHPORT)  
"Nunsense:" The Farmingdale Library is hosting a trip to the John W. Engemann Theatre in Northport  Saturday for a performance of "Nunsense," a musical that takes a unique view of a monastery and the antics of some very funny singing and dancing nuns. Departure at 10:30 a.m. from library; returning about 5 p.m. Tickets: $82 per person.

MASSAPEQUA
The Burton Cummings Band: The lead singer is a living legend in the Canadian music industry and known as the songwriter and lead singer for The Guess Who, performs a free concert Saturday at 8 p.m. at John J. Burns Park in Massapequa. Bring a blanket; part on the ongoing Oyster Bay Summer Under the Stars series.

GLEN COVE:
Beach Boys' Sounds: This could be fun: Morgan Park's Summer Music Festival presents The Driftwoods, a Beach Boys tribute band,on Sunday. The park overlooks the water. Free. Performance begins at 7:30 p.m.; bring chairs and blankets.
