Weekend Music and Theater

There are plenty of live music options in Port Washington this weekend, including two benefits. 

Friday

Family Jazz Night with Muriel Weinstein at The Dolphin Café. Weinstein will discuss her books on Louis Armstrong, and Bobby Katz, Solomon Hoffman, Miles Kurtz, Reed Kalash and Chris Silverberg will be performing his music. 7 p.m.

New Riders of the Purple Sage at Landmark on Main Street. All proceeds from the event will go to The SASS Foundation for Medical Research in their ongoing fight against cancer. Tickets $40. 7 p.m.

Live@PWPL: John Ford of the Strawbs w/ Special Guest Ian Lloyd of Stories. Port Washington Public Library. 7:30 p.m. Free.

Music Jam at Yankee Clipper Tavern at 43 Main Street (between North Maryland and North Bayles Aves.) to benefit victims of the Main Street fire, with proceeds going to Our Lady of Fatima Outreach. 8-11 p.m.

Guitar Music at Finn MacCools, 9 p.m.

Rock Band for Beginners! Thirty Minute Free Band Trial, 10:15 a.m. iSchool of Music & Art

The Dolphin Bookshop & Cafe Presents Tales of Peter Rabbit 11 a.m.
