When, Where Are Primary Elections?

The League of Women Voters of Port Washington-Manhasset wants you to know primary elections are held on a Thursday this year.

The League of Women Voters of Port Washington-Manhasset wants to remind residents of the upcoming elections and to make sure everyone realizes the voting will be held on a Thursday instead a Tuesday this year.

Primary elections will be held on Thursday, Sept. 10.

Voters should have already received a postcard that gives the location of their polling place. It can also be found on the League of Women Voters’ interactive website Vote411.org.

Residents are able to vote with Absentee Ballots up until the day before the election. The Board of Education, located at 240 Old Country Road in Mineola, will be open late on Saturday for Absentee Ballot pickup and voting from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Thursday is the last day to post an application for an Absentee Ballot and Wednesday, Sept. 9 is the last day to apply for one in person at the BOE.
