The White Party Benefit for Education Programming at Sands Point Preserve
The Conservancy celebrates Long Island's farm-to-table movement with cocktails, dinner, dancing in Hempstead House's Rose Garden - Aug 3

The Sands Point Preserve Conservancy announces the second annual White Party, a benefit for education programming, on Thursday, August 3, 2017, at 7 – 10 pm in Hempstead House’s magnificent rose garden overlooking the Long Island Sound.
“The Sands Point Preserve is a magical place, rich with natural beauty and significant history,” White Party chairperson Bonnie Zarabi said, “The Conservancy's educational programming has opened the door to all members of the community to enjoy the magic through art, music, science, fitness and more. Children and adults all have a place here.”
This year’s farm-to-table themed dinner celebrates Long Island’s outstanding resources for fresh foods and fine wines. Brief tours of Hempstead House will run throughout the evening, and DJ FLO will play dance music under the stars. In case of rain, the entire event will take place inside the mansion.

The Conservancy welcomes OurHarvest, a New York-based online grocery and farmers market delivery service, as the evening’s sponsor. With fresh foods sourced directly from local farmers and food purveyors, OurHarvest will advise Philip Stone Caterer on a unique menu comprised of seasonal recipes, culminating in a medley of fresh berry desserts. This philanthropic company donates healthy meals to local food pantries for families in need, and they will contribute a percentage of sales to support the Conservancy.
The White Party raises funds for the Conservancy’s education goals to provide original STEAM-based nature programs for children; expanded adult nature programs, including overnight survival training in our woods; expanded after-school classes in art, science, and yoga for pre-K through middle school; custom programs for families with special needs; and the new equestrian program.

According to Zarabi, “The White Party is a night to celebrate all that the Conservancy has accomplished thus far and raise the funds to help our programming grow further.”
