Woman Drove Drunk With 2 Children In The Car In Port Washington: Police

The woman was arrested Sunday morning, police say.

A woman was arrested for droving drunk with two children in the car in Port Washington on Sunday morning, police say.

According to authorities, Flavia Paulina Munoz Marchant, 38, of Port Washington and Point of Rocks, MD, was operating a 2012 Nissan northbound on Port Washington Boulevard when she was pulled over for failing to maintain a lane.

An investigation revealed her two children, an 8-year-old and a 15-year-old were in the rear seats, police say. The children were released to their father.

Munoz Marchant was charged with two counts of aggravated DWI (Leandra's Law), two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, DWI and failure to stay in a single lane. She will be arraigned Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
