Woman Killed After Being Hit By Car While Crossing Nassau Street
Police say the 79-year-old woman was hit by a car and died shortly later from her injuries.
An elderly woman was killed after she was hit by a car while crossing a street in Manhasset Sunday night.
According to police, the 79-year-old woman was crossing Plandome Road near Park Avenue at 8:05 p.m. when she was hit by a 2018 Toyota heading north. The woman suffered multiple injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, where she died from her injuries at 11:52 p.m.
The driver, also a 79-year-old woman, remained at the scene. Police conducted a brake and safety check of the car.
