You can learn more about the loss of this " Crown Jewel of Long Island ", the 4th largest mansion in the United States and the only mansion on the Gold Coast to have 3 working chapels by visiting www.Inisfada.org.
Many local artists, wood workers, painters, masons and more lived in Port Washington and were very instrumental in the design and construction of the ultra fine craftsmanship of Inisfada.
This book is the first in a series about our local history. We are known as the Gold Coast not only for monetary wealth of the time but for the rich history and impact our community has made on the the world.
This book is my effort to try and ensure that this part of history has been captured and will be remembered. I will ensure that free copies are provided to the Port Washington Library.
Thank you.
