Local fans may also note Canton’s next home softball doubleheader versus Cortland on Friday, May 1, as the Roos continue their strong spring showing. 
• SUNY Canton Steel Bridge Team earns second place at regional competition (northcountrynow.com) — A SUNY Canton steel bridge team that includes Potsdam’s Brett Miller just earned second place overall at a major regional competition, winning top marks for stiffness and structural efficiency. The students are now headed to nationals in Texas, with the college foundation inviting alumni and friends to “Back the Bridge Team” through messages and donations to help cover travel costs.
