CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Seven youths — all too young to name — were arrested in connection to an attack on a 15-year-old girl on a Crown Heights street corner last week, police said.

Video showing the March 5 assault and robbery prompted outrage and, apparently, tips and pressure that prompted arrests by NYPD officers, according to a 77th Precinct Twitter post.

Police first arrested a girl, 14, and two boys, ages 15 and 16 on Saturday. Then on Sunday they arrested two 14-year-old boys, a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy, authorities said.

All face charges of robbery and gang assault.

More youths piled on, kicking the girl before running off with her phone and debit card, authorities said. One youth can be seen in the video carrying off the girl's shoes.

Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams last week expressed outrage at the video. He compared it to another viral video showing a large group of police officers taking down a lone man suspected of having marijuana and running away from them.

"Our goal is to say innocent people should not be the victim of abuse if it's coming by the hands of police officers or if it's coming by the hands of other young people," he said.

The girl went to the hospital after her face was bruised and swollen after the attack, authorities said.

"The victim has been released from the hospital to recover with her family," NYPD's 77th Precinct wrote on Twitter.

Community members held a rally for the girl over the weekend, ABC7 reported. At least one of the boys' mothers apologized to the girl's family, the news station reported.
