“The first thing that struck me about this Melbourne folksinger was her voice. It’s so gorgeous, ethereal and delicate, almost fragile but with a quiet strength too. I could listen to it all day and not tire of it.” - SoundsofOz.com

9pm- Cancion Franklin
Genre: Americana, Country, Blues
For fans of: Merle Haggard, Bob Dylan, Lightning Hopkins

Unsigned, unasked and unapologetic, Cancion is a true DIY singer/songwriter. His songwriting ranges from outlaw country stylings and driving blues/rock raptures, to gorgeously vulnerable, raw, gentle music. He is often accompanied by Alex Whelan, on backup vocals and guitar, blending tight harmonies with a broken down home guitar attack.

10pm- Bourbon Express
Genre: Country
For fans of: Emmy-Lou Harris, Johnny Cash

Bourbon Express is a country band led by singer-songwriter Katie Brennan. Influences include Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Johnny Cash, and George Jones. It’s twangy toe-tapping music that’s new yet familiar, and just might give you a hankering for a cool glass of whiskey and a honky-tonk.

11pm- The Grey Man
Genre: Rock
For fans of: Hendrix/Petty/Can

“The Grey Man” bring “Kraut - Rock” to the new world. Fronted by native “Kraut”, and Brooklyn transplant David Kay, the trio also consists of Matt Holt on bass (a real NYC-man) and Moroccan Sam Rekaibi on drums. Formed at the deep end of the Gowanus Canal (in the winter of 2013), the trio transformed a good portion of the best decades of rock into dynamic and eclectic loudness. Some sparks of emotion and light shine through their straightforward compositions and might bring up fond memories of past high times of songwriting.
