13,000 square feet of exhibition space filled with art, stories, places, and memories of Sunset Park.
Curated by Tamavis D. Santiago, founder of Art Salon 787, a Sunset Park art collective, this special exhibition brings together artists whose work reflects the neighborhood’s history, culture, character, and changing landscape.
Featuring can’t-miss works by artists with deep connections to the neighborhood, including:
AL DIAZ (SAMO) paintings inspired by the street games of childhood hopscotch, skellies, handball, and stickball.
VALERI LARKO a special series of paintings created for the exhibition, capturing the historic landscapes and architecture of Green-Wood Cemetery, along with a screening of her documentary short Larko Land.
LUIS “INCA” RAMOS handcrafted Sunset Park dioramas that bring the neighborhood’s streets, buildings, and memories into miniature worlds.
And throughout the exhibition, discover the work of the ART SALON 787 COLLECTIVE, bringing together artists whose work reflects the culture, history, identity, and ever-changing character of Sunset Park.
From street games and stoops to Green-Wood Cemetery, the waterfront, neighborhood landmarks, and the places we remember, Stoops, Sirens, and Stickball brings together a remarkable collection of artwork rooted in place and memory.
This is more than an exhibition about Sunset Park.
It is Sunset Park remembered, imagined, and transformed through art.
