Family Program: Gender Identity at the Brooklyn Museum. Oct. 17. 2:30 - 5:30 PM

This interactive program for children and families challenges binary conceptions of gender through pretend-play, story time and a workshop.

Drawing inspiration from the exhibition Zanele Muholi: Isibonelo/Evidence, this interactive program for children and families challenges binary conceptions of gender. Includes story time and pretend-play for children 5 and under, and a workshop introducing the language of identity for children 6 to 12. Developed in partnership with the Ackerman Institute’s Gender & Family Project. Families are invited to a reception immediately following the program (4:15 - 5;30pm).
