11pm- The Van Burens
Genre: Funk/Rock
For fans of: The Talking Heads, PFunk, Ween, Tenacious D
The Van Burens are a family band whose pocket is 15 years deep and these boys have been sitting in it for that long. The band muses on the greatness of American heroes like John Wayne, Ronald Reagan, and Donald Rumsfeld and brings these men to life with a sexy interlocking bureaucracy of groove. If that doesn’t make you want to party, you should probably go read your history books and stay in for the evening.
