LERN and BSN Medical sponsor Brooklyn 5K Walk to Fight Lymphedema and Lymphatic Diseases
March across Brooklyn Bridge on 9/19/15 to raise awareness of diseases that affect up to 10 million Americans. Event begins at Cadman Plaza.
The Lymphatic Education & Research Network (LE&RN) and BSN Medical are joining forces to make this year’s Walk to Fight Lymphedema & Lymphatic Diseases in New York City the biggest and most successful ever.
Lymphedema and lymphatic diseases remain unknown to most people despite affecting up to ten million Americans. Since 1998, LE&RN has been dedicated to ensuring that these patients get the attention they deserve in terms of education, research, and advocacy.
“At last year’s Walk, Kathy Bates kicked off the Face of Lymphedema Challenge™. This year, we’ll show her she isn’t alone with New Yorkers coming forward and standing tall for lymphedema and lymphatic disease awareness.” William Repicci, Executive Director for LE&RN
