I grew up being heavily influenced by big band voices like Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra and Ella Fizgerland, while simultaneously listening to Johnny Cash & June Carter, Stevie Nicks, and Jefferson Airplane, led by the incomparable Grace Slick. I definitely think you can hear the effect of those influences in my music. I don't write anything exceedingly complicated or complex, but what I do write is human and relatable. I put everything out there and I don't apologize for it. So far, people seem to dig it.
