BROOKLYN, NEW YORK — A person was hit by a train in a Brooklyn subway station during rush hour Friday, the MTA announced.

The unidentified person was struck on the northbound tracks at the Seventh Avenue B and Q train station at about 5:15 p.m., according to the MTA.

The FDNY did not immediately respond to Patch's request for more information about the person's condition, but straphanger Megan Hovick tweeted her B train had hit a woman whom firefighters were working to rescue.
