Rapper 'Mousey Baby' Convicted Of Anti-Gay Brooklyn Stabbing: DA

James Thomas could spend 33 years in jail for slashing one man and stabbing another near a Bed-Stuy gay nightclub in 2017, prosecutors said.

BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- A Brooklyn rapper who slashed, beat and stabbed three men near a Bed-Stuy gay nightclub last year has been convicted of assault and menacing, prosecutors announced.

James "Mousey Baby" Thomas, 34, was found guilty Wednesday of attacking three men near the Langston Club at 1073 Atlantic Ave. on March 5, 2017, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney's office.

Thomas' rampage began inside the Crown Fried Chicken at 1147 Fulton St. at about 4:30 a.m when he started screaming at a group of people who had just left the Langston Club, said prosecutors.

The local rapper whipped out a knife, slashed one man in the face and fled the eatery, only to confront two other Langston Club patrons, prosecutors said.

Thomas pushed one patron against a wall and, when the second tried to stop him, turned and stabbed that patron twice in the torso and once in the shoulder, said prosecutors.

Emergency responders rushed Thomas' first and third victims to nearby hospitals, where the first needed 18 stitches on his face and the second received three stitches on his chest, prosecutors said.

Thomas turned himself in at the 79th precinct station house on March 9, after the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force released photos of him to the media, said prosecutors.

The Prospect Heights man was convicted on Nov. 21 of assault, menacing and criminal possession of a weapon in Brooklyn Criminal Court, where he is slated to be sentenced on Dec. 12, prosecutors said.

The rap artist could face up to 33 years in prison, said prosecutors.
