MEDGAR EVERS COLLEGE HOLDS FIRST SOULFEST STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER ON SEPT 9 FOOD, MUSIC FOR CENTRAL BROOKLYN FESTIVAL WBLS

SoulFest is not to be missed: dive into the melting pot and fill up on the flavors of the diaspora with classic local dishes, specialty cuisines from ethnic neighborhood restaurants, and the creations of numerous inspired chefs! Our Central Brooklyn festival tickles your taste buds and soothes your soul with crafts, fashion, and live performances from many genres – Salsa, Hip Hop, Gospel, Funk.
Medgar Evers College, a senior college of the City University of New York, is holding the festival to raise scholarships for students. The College has many first-generation college students who are eligible for financial aid. The student body is international, with a large population of natives of Jamaica, Haiti, Guyana, and Trinidad & Tobago.
