The Book Hive

hosted a community open house at "The Book Hive," , on Wednesday evening. The library was flooded with excited children and interested parents, who got a closer look at a space that has taken almost three years to complete.

Although the library will not be open full time until the school can set aside enough funds to employee a librarian, the 800 students at P.S. 9 and M.S. 571, a middle school which shares the campus, will have limited access to the library's steadily growing collection. There are currently 4,250 volumes at the library, which will hold 15,000 volumes when fully stocked.
