Those Sensible Shoes are Anthony Mulcahy and Rachel Stern, who began playing and writing original music together in September 2014 after meeting through the Big City Folk Collective. They perform a blend of acoustic and indie folk with unique harmonies. Based in New York City, they have been playing shows all over Manhattan, Brooklyn and New Jersey. They are currently working on their first album, due in Spring 2015.

I’ve always admired the swing, emotion, and humor found in early blues, country and Appalachian music. I’m heavily influenced by the likes of Big Bill Broonzy, Blind Wille McTell, and Woody Guthrie. I think my music and the tunes I choose to sing and write reflect these influences in a pretty obvious manner. I like the idea of preserving forgotten music. I like telling the old stories.

Patrick Freeman is a guitarist and songwriter currently based in Dublin. Having spent a number of years as a session musician and performer, Freeman released his debut EP "Perfect Fit" in February 2014. His debut album "Cherry Blossom Fall" was recorded at Big Skin HQ, Cork, infamous home of O Emperor and is due for release in October 2015.
