Trump Official To Sleep In Prospect-Lefferts Gardens NYCHA Home

PROSPECT-LEFFERTS GARDENS — A Trump administration official will conclude her month-long tour of New York City's "s---hole" NYCHA homes with a stay in Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, officials said.

Lynne Patton, New York and New Jersey's regional administrator for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, will spend one week at the Fenimore-Lefferts Houses on Fenimore Street and Troy Avenue, her office announced.

Volunteer hosts Gwendolyn and Leonard Jones, the development's tenant association president, will begin hosting Patton Monday evening, according to a public announcement.

This will be the fourth public housing complex on Patton's tour, which she says has left her less than impressed with the New York City Housing Authority, which needs $12.6 billion to fix its apartments over the next five years.

"We went to a ton of s---hole apartments, as my boss would say," Patton said of the Patterson Houses in the Bronx, which she visited last month. "They are horrible."

Patton made headlines when she became stuck in an Upper West Side development's elevator and again when she called conditions in the Queensbridge Houses in Long Island City "horrific."

Patton has spent five days in four NYCHA complexes over the course of one month. The tour comes as federal officials choose an independent monitor for the housing authority and identify candidates for its next chairperson under an oversight deal.

Patton will also attend the NYPD's local "Build the Block" community meeting, slated to take place at 594 Albany Ave. Wednesday evening at 5:45 p.m., HUD officials said.
