• Skeletal remains found in destroyed Queens home where fire killed woman, 78, last month (nydailynews.com) — Skeletal remains have been found in the ruins of a Queens home on 41st Road, weeks after a five-alarm fire there killed a 78-year-old woman and injured 22 others. Authorities are working to identify the remains and check missing-person reports, while officials praise firefighters' efforts that prevented the blaze from spreading further.
• Married-couple families account for majority of homeowners in Queens: Report (ground.news) — New data show that married-couple families make up just over half of all homeowners in Queens, giving the borough one of the city's highest shares of married owners after Staten Island. Nonfamily owners and female-led families also represent significant portions of Queens' homeowner base, highlighting how diverse local property ownership really is.
