JCAL Celebrates Pride Month with Special “Be You” Showcase Event Uplifting LGBTQ+ Voices

In celebration of Pride Month, the Jamaica Center for Arts & Learning (JCAL) presents Be You, a vibrant evening of music, dance, visual arts, and fashion spotlighting LGBTQ+ creativity in Queens. Curated by Randy Houston, the event features a dynamic lineup including CJ Smith, Destiny Davis, Raiesa, Kwesi Comp, Madisyn and Kingdom Dance, immersive artistic experiences that center identity, expression, and community.

The show will also include a special performance by NYC-born and raised artist, performer, dancer and model, Infinite Coles. Hailing from Staten Island, Coles is a multidisciplinary force emerging from NYC’s queer vanguard. A "sonic chameleon," Coles blends house, hip-hop, and soul to challenge genre and gender conventions. Despite a high-profile lineage as the son of Ghostface Killah, he has carved a distinct path through the city’s vogue-ballroom scene and collaborations with artists like Sampha and Joy Orbison. Following his acclaimed 2021 EP Destiny, Coles releases his debut album, SweetFaceKillah, on December 5.
