FRESH MEADOWS, NY – Local entrepreneur Xilin Zhang is fulfilling her dream of making a difference in the lives of Queens residents by opening a BrightStar Care homecare and medical staffing agency. This new business will provide a range of compassionate, person-centered care to people of all ages, from infants to seniors in the safety and comfort of their homes.

After a career in the financial service industry, Zhang began volunteering in the health care space and was immediately attracted to the caring, people oriented nature of the industry which created a strong contrast to the business-focused working environment that she was used to. Through her volunteer work, Zhang began thinking about and planning to make the move to a more meaningful career that would not only positively impact her, but her family and community. She has a great passion for ensuring the optimal delivery of care and service to patients and families in their designated area and believes that the care givers need to be equipped with the tools that are needed to get the job done.
