2 Teens Accused Of Taking NYC Subway Trains On Joyrides

QUEENS, NY — At least two teens are accused of breaking into two subway cars in Queens and moving them in the wrong direction over the weekend, police said.

The first incident happened near the 67th Avenue station in Forest Hills around 1 a.m.

A R160 train car moved in the wrong direction and ended up coming to a stop near the Woodhaven Boulevard Station, police confirmed.

The train break-ins were first reported by the New York Daily News.

Four hours later, another set of train cars were reported to be moving in the wrong direction from 67th Ave. to Woodhaven Boulevard.

Police and the MTA are investigating how the suspects managed to take control of the two trains.

No arrests have been made.

Last year six individuals were accused of stealing a subway train in Queens.
