Officials say corrections staff performed CPR before transport, and that he had been facing serious charges tied to a Bronx case last year, though authorities have not yet released further details.

Flushing Commons Phase II breaks ground on mixed-use development that will bring housing, offices, retail and public spaces (qns.com) — A major new phase of the Flushing Commons project is breaking ground in Queens, bringing 156 apartments, extensive retail and office space, and 1.3 acres of public open space. NYC's $4M Public Bathrooms Auto-Open Doors After 10 Minutes (conservativejournalreview.com) — Queens will be the first borough to get New York City's new automated public restrooms, part of a $4 million pilot putting 17 timed-access units around the city. Doors automatically open after 10 minutes, sparking debate over dignity, access, and whether this cost-saving approach truly serves residents who need more reliable public facilities.
