QUEENS — A 35-year-old man was arrested after shooting an employee at a South Ozone Park deli on Thursday, Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said.
Donnie Hudson faces attempted murder and assault charges after shooting Fahmi Kaid, 47, who was working behind the counter of Rockaway Express deli at 114-02 Rockaway Blvd. about 2:30 p.m., prosecutors said.
He faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted, Katz said.

Hudson shot Kaid three times, striking him on the head before leaving the store, the district attorney said.
The shooter returned shortly after with an assault rifle, which he fired several times at Kaid, who was laying on the floor, before fleeing, prosecutors said.

Hudson was arrested about four hours later near the deli on 114th St. near 135th Ave, where police found him carrying several loaded firearms, Katz said.
Kaid sustained a grazed gunshot wound to his head, a gunshot wound to his wrist, injury to his radial artery, and suffered a volar laceration, which will require surgery to repair, the district attorney said.
