• Public Comment Period Opens for Proposed Ramapo Rail Trail Project (monseyscoop.com) — Ramapo residents now have until August 4 to weigh in on a proposed multi-use Ramapo Rail Trail that would link Spring Valley, Monsey, Airmont, and Tallman. The car-free path would run near spots like Monsey Glen County Park and Finkelstein Memorial Library, aiming to boost safe recreation, transportation options, and neighborhood connectivity across town.

• Teen Charged In Spring Valley Slashing: PD (patch.com) — Police say an 18-year-old Ramapo resident has been charged in connection with a serious slashing on South Main Street in Spring Valley that left a man badly injured.
