• Rhinebeck Village Reaches Agreement With Town On New Fire Contract After Long Negotiation (thedailycatch.org) — Rhinecliff residents' fire protection is set to remain stable after Rhinebeck Village and Town officials reached a one-year, $315,000 contract for 2027 that helps fund a new tanker truck serving rural areas. The deal tightens rules on how town money can be spent, expands the town's right to review fire and EMS costs, and launches a joint task force to plan for growing emergency-service demands.
