• Fourth confirmed case of 'rabbit fever' reported in Suffolk County (news12.com) — Ridge residents should know Suffolk County has now confirmed four tularemia, or “rabbit fever,” cases this year, including one involving a tick bite at a Ridge home. Health officials say infections remain rare but urge vigilance about tick bites and contact with wild animals as they track this disease across the county.
