• Helicopter noise sparks complaints as Town of Riverhead forms task force (news12.com) — Helicopter noise over Wading River and nearby Ridge is frustrating residents enough that Riverhead Town is creating a helicopter noise task force to tackle the issue. Locals say low-flying aircraft are getting louder and more frequent, disrupting time outdoors. The new task force’s first public meeting is Thursday at 4 p.m. at Riverhead Town Hall, and all residents can attend.
