2 Altercations At Emergency Housing Facility In 1 Night: Police
One man was arrested and charged with felony assault, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — Police were called twice in one night to the same Riverhead address after reports of physical disputes among residents.
According to Riverhead Police, on Wednesday at 9:48 p.m., a call came in about an altercation between residents living at Community Housing Innovations on Roanoke Avenue —a facility that provides emergency and transitional housing.
One man was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center by the Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps for treatment of a minor head injury, police said. No arrests were made, police said.

Next, while Riverhead officers were still on scene they were told by staff that a second physical altercation involving two men was taking place in a second-floor bedroom, police said.
James Meahan, 39, received lacerations and puncture wounds; he was also taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center by the Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, police said. He was kept overnight for observation, police said.

Nicholas Lobianco, 35, was arrested and charged with one county of second-degree assault, a felony, and held for arraignment, police said.
