Paddleboarder reported missing off South Jamesport Beach found safe, police say (riverheadlocal.com) — Riverhead police say a paddleboarder reported missing off South Jamesport Beach Wednesday afternoon was found safe and in good health after a large multi-agency search. The Riverhead Police Dive/Rescue Team, local fire departments and Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance all joined the effort, and residents are urged to report any suspicious or criminal activity to the department's confidential Crime Hotline.

Riverhead Police seek man wanted in for shoplifting at Target (riverheadlocal.com) — Riverhead Town police are asking for your help identifying a man suspected of stealing about $380 in clothing from the Target on Old Country Road earlier this month. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for anonymous tips that lead to an arrest, and you can submit information by phone, app or online while remaining confidential.
   

5. Why Long Islanders love tribute bands (newsday.com) — Tribute bands are booming across Long Island, and Riverhead's own Suffolk theater is a key stage for these acts, including an Ozzy Osbourne tribute headlining there in October.
