2 Arrested After Selling Liquor To Minors In Riverhead: Police
The enforcement effort took place Wednesday, police say.
RIVERHEAD, NY — Two were arrested this week in a sweep of Riverhead businesses to determine whether anyone was selling alcohol to minors, police said.
According to Riverhead Town police, the initiative, organized by the police department's COPE division along with the Riverhead Community Awareness Program, took place on Wednesday.
Two locations were not in compliance, and employees from those locations were arrested and charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child, police said.

The following employees were processed and released on a desk appearance ticket, police said:
- Anna Lomonaco, an employee of Alpine Wine & Liquor, located on New York State Route 25A in Wading River.

- Yilong Ren, an employee of Wine Mart, located on Old Country Road in Riverhead.
The following locations were checked and were found to be in compliance, police said;
1: The Thirsty Cellar, Wading River
2: Valero, Wading River
3: Wines by Nature, Wading River
4: Riverhead Liquor Mart, Riverhead
5: EHP Liquors, Riverhead
6: Stop & Shop, Riverhead
7: One Stop Smoke Shop, Riverhead
8: Walgreens, Riverhead
9: Roanoke Plaza Liquor, Riverhead
10: Lidl, Riverhead
11: Gala Fresh, Riverhead
12: Shell Gas Station, Riverhead
13: Lucky Liquor, Riverhead
14: Peconic Wine & Liquor, Riverhead
