2 Men Stabbed By Female In Riverhead: Police

They were attacked early Tuesday morning, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Two men were stabbed multiple times by a female in Riverhead early Tuesday morning, police said.

According to Riverhead Town police, a call came in about 6:05 a.m. about an attack on the two males by an unknown female at a residence on East Avenue.

Upon arrival, responding officers found the two inside the residence with multiple stab wounds, police said.

Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to the scene, treated the pair, and transported both to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead for wounds that were considered non-life threatening, police said.

The female fled the residence on foot in an unknown direction prior to police arrival, police said.

A K-9 unit was requested to the scene, but a search of the area was unsuccessful, police said.
