3 Fishermen Rescued After Losing Way In Fog
The fog rolled in and they lost their bearings, police said.

RIVERHEAD, NY — Three fishermen were rescued after they lost their bearings during heavy fog Tuesday night, police said.
According to Riverhead Town Police, a call came in at 9:45 p.m. from Shaun Moore, who said he and two others, Martinell Price and James Hardy, all of Riverhead, had been out on the Long Island Sound fishing in a 10’ aluminum boat. Moore explained that the boat was operable but that fog had rolled in and they had lost their bearings and couldn't find their way back to the to Iron Pier boat ramp, police said.
The Riverhead Police Department's dive/rescue team was notified and responded, along with United States Coast Guard, New York State Encon and Jamesport Fire Department, police said. The Riverhead Police Department's dive/rescue team located the vessel one mile off the shore north of Aldrich Lane in Laurel, police said.
